We are open 7 days a week and accept the following payment methods: Credit Cards (Visa, American Express, Discover & Mastercard), Cash and Western Union Transfers.We are looking for a straight-commission only new business/account representative for B2B telephone/in-person contact with potential clients. The design firm will specialize in branding/identity design and print collateral/advertising for startups, small/mid-sized businesses, government and nonprofits.JOB DETAILS

  • Work-from-home an option, need to be able to put in a minimum of 15 hrs/wk average.
  • Independent contractor, 1099. You may have other employment/clients while performing these duties.
  • Must like designer’s style and way of working. Firm will operate in a relaxed, “laid-back” and drama-free manner.
  • Part-time, telecommuting is an option.
  • Prefer at least 2 years previous sales/customer contact experience.
  • Experience in graphic design, printing, and/or advertising sales and/or account management welcomed but not required.
  • Will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and recruiting clients to the designer and helping to schedule/coordinate assignment workload with designer.
  • Prefer to focus on US-based clients.
  • Need to be ethical, honest yet comfortable speaking to decision makers about graphic design. Suggested script will be provided for outbound calls but not required.
  • Weekly progress reports required.
  • Compensation is 20% percent of net sale, less any discounts, on completed assignments and 10% on net sales of repeat orders.
  • Designer reserves the right to not accept any assignment or client at sole discretion.
  • Potential to become salaried position based on success.
  • Position needs to be based in the US even though designer is in NEW JERSEY right now.

Physical Tools
A primary tool of sales representatives is a good quality cellular phone with a carrier that gets excellent reception. If a customer calls and you cannot be reached, you may lose a sale. The same goes for reps who don’t call back promptly if they are away from the phone. Even if you work primarily in an office, being easily reachable away from your desk is important. A laptop computer or other portable device is also important for reps who work outside an office. Even in-office reps benefit from mobile computing if there is any chance a customer might email for information. Business cards and product catalogs, price lists, media kits or sell sheets round out the basic tools of a sales representative, along with some sort of sample if applicable to the item being sold.
